A new version of the automotive ERP software with many technical innovations is announced XPPS Release 3.0 with Extended Functions for Multi Site Management, Intercompany Business and Transfer Orders Agilisys Automotive, one of the leading providers of automobile specific business solutions, today announces Release 3.0 of the ERP solution XPPS, which is tailor-made for the automobile supplier industry. The version that so far was given the code name “Australia” offers a multitude of innovations, especially in the areas Multi Site Management, Intercompany Business, transfer orders and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). XPPS by Agilisys Automotive is an ERP system, which also fulfills the requirements of the aftermarket. It fully integrates customers and suppliers into the business processes. XPPS can depict different mixed mode production processes, among them discrete production, serial production and kanban. It makes it possible to integrate different products from different branches into one order entry and provides online catalog processing and shopping cart. The inventory management system within XPPS guarantees an effective organization of the material flow and inventory maintenance. The new release 3.0 from XPPS enables optimised multi-site management and efficient handling of inter-company processes in the group affiliation through an extended company and – plant overall data organization and offers at the same time a flexible starting basis for portrayal of the growing logistical requirements of the automobile supplier industry in the area of third-party deals. Newly implemented user exits makes it possible to easier and more inexpensively undertake customer modifications as well as upgrades to new releases. At the same time, the user interface was revised, so that Multimedia and Office applications now can be incorporated. In addition, in XPPS 3.0, a TCP/IP based news server is integrated through AutoEx, which greatly simplifies communication with the back-end EDI of various providers and thus represents an alternative to expensive Value Added Networks (VANs). AutoEx supports both North American and European EDI standard protocols and can thus be used globally. “Release 3.0 of XPPS provides a up-to date and approved lean and easy-to operate solution that allows for an efficient process-oriented organization, and that guarantees the entire logistical processing in companies from the automobile supplier industry”, explains Wolfgang Wagner, Product Manager of Agilisys Automotive GmbH. The rollout for the XPPS Release 3.0 begins in the autumn of 2004.
