Appointment Aer Lingus Aer Lingus contracted AVIAREPS as their new GSA in Germany, Benelux, Italy and France on top of the already existing co-operation in Switzerland and Czech Republic. Aer Lingus, the flag carrier of the Republic of Ireland, was established in April 1936 starting services between Ireland and UK. Today, EI is operating a modern fleet of approx. 33 aircraft consisting of Airbus 330-200/300, Airbus 320/321 and Boeing 737-400/500. Until December 2005 Air Lingus will go for an overall Airbus fleet. Since 2000, the airline is a member of one world alliance and is therefore in the position to provide more benefits to its customers. The route network inludes more than 40 destinations mainly ex Dublin ( Cork / Shannon ) to the UK, continental Europe & USA. To Germany, Benelux, Italy and France Aer Lingus offers a dense schedule covering a total of 14 airports (FRA, MUC, DUS, BER / AMS, BRU / MIL, ROM, VCE, BLQ / PAR, LYS, NCE, TLS). Aer Lingus passed through an ambitious restructuring process even in terms of its European office and management network.
