Enterprises Expedited Speed of Overseas Investment, Private Enterprises Accounted for 50% Statistics from Jiangsu Provincial Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation indicated that in the first 6 months, Jiangsu Province newly approved 32 overseas non-business enterprises and institutes, and 1 for adding investment. Total investment amounted to US$73.5 billion, up by 237% on a year-on-year basis. China¡¯s investment of agreements amounted to US$44.01 million, up by 189% on a year-on-year basis. In the first half year, Jiangsu's enterprises invested overseas with an obvious expansion of scale. 11 enterprises in Jiangsu Province invested overseas above US$2 million, but 2 enterprises in last year. Form of overseas investment was innovated. Venture investment enterprises were also bold to attend overseas investment. Private enterprises' investment overseas accounted for 50% of total overseas investment. In the first half year, Jiangsu Province totally established 16 overseas investment enterprises and institutes, accounting for 48.5% of total newly approved enterprises. China invested US$20.91 million, accounting for 51% of total investment of China.
