W.E.T. Automotive Systems AG chooses gedas as strategic IT partner W.E.T. Automotive Systems AG and gedas have agreed to form a strategic partnership: gedas will provide IT infrastructure consulting services to the automotive industry’s worldwide leader in seat ventilation technology. “We were looking for a partner that would be able to support us in every area of interest to an automobile supplier and one who would take the idea of partnership seriously,” says Ryan Gaul, CIO of W.E.T Automotive Systems AG, explaining why the company chose gedas. In an initial project scheduled to last five years, gedas will help W.E.T. operate its Baan application, which is in use around the world. The project involves some 800 users. The project also demands gedas’s expertise in mapping best practices for business processes: “Only by optimizing our IT infrastructure to better support product development, supply chain management and customer relationship management can we ensure W.E.T.’s competitive edge in the future.
