Cimber Air started in 1950 when Capt. Ingolf Lorenz Nielsen takes over Sonderjyllands Flyveselskab. 1966 the airline is granted the right to operate scheduled flights between Sonderborg and Copenhagen
Cimber Air choose AVIAREPS as their new representative in Italy

Today, the fleet consists of 5 modern and comfortable turboprop aircraft of the type ATR 42-300/-500 seating between 42 and 50 passengers, 6 aircraft of the type ATR 72-500/211 seating up to 64 passengers and several Canadair regional jets - all members of the new generation of regional short sector aircraft.
Cimber Air operates domestic services in Denmark ( from Copenhagen to Bornholm, Karup, Sønderborg, and Aalborg in co-op with SAS ) and Germany ( Kiel-Frankfurt route in co-op with LH ).
International flights are provided from Copenhagen to Wroclaw, Basel, Kiev, Ukraine, Bucharest, Romania and Montpellier.

From 31 October 2004 new services from Billund to Brussels, Milan ( 6x weekly ), Munich, Oslo, Stockholm and Aalborg will be operated.

In 2002/03 Cimber Air carried 773,850 passengers and generated a turnover of 600 mio. DKK (approx. 80.7 mio EUR). All flights were operated with a punctuality of 88.0%.
