Advanced satellite communication solution for Middle East broadcaster ND SatCom technology boosting Al Jazeera's Children's Channel ND SatCom, a leading global supplier of satellite-based broadband VSAT, broadcast and defence communication network solutions, has been awarded several joint contracts with Salam Media Cast (SMC) to provide Al Jazeera Channel in Qatar with several uplink and downlink stations. The project comprises the development of a Children's channel for Al Jazeera! ND SatCom together with Salam Media Cast (SMC) delivered and installed a 6.3m extended KU-band uplink system for flexible program contribution and a 3.7m Ku-band Skyplex uplink system for program distribution over Eutelsat. The acceptance test on Eutelsat had taken place according to the tough scheduled project plan until the end of May 2005. Beside the uplink systems ND SatCom implemented a managed Downlink Solution for further program contribution, interconnection to news agencies, program production units and further program rebroadcast over Nilesat and Arabsat satellites "ND SatCom's Satellite Ground Station portfolio provides solutions for every broadcast requirement.
