Sino-German Technology Cooperation Accord Signed in Beijing

On Oct 19, Yi Xiaozhun Assistant Minister of MOFCOM met with Volker Standzel German Ambassador to China. The two sides exchanged views on Sino-German Technology Cooperation arrangements and expressed wish to further enhance bilateral economic and trade relationship apart from technology cooperation.

Yi Xiaozhun and Volker Standzel signed Sino-German Technology Cooperation Accord on behalf of China and Germany after their meeting. The accord composes 12 newly approved programs and 7 extended programs, in such fields as energy utilization, economic system reform, training and employment promotion, law cooperation and environmental protection etc. The aiding fund by German side amounts to 43.17 euros.

China is the biggest country of German free aids. By the end of Sep 2004, German Government supplied some 768.5 million euros free aids.
