Vivian Lines Appointed CEO, Southern Asia at Hill & Knowlton Hill & Knowlton, Inc., one of the world’s premier communications consultancies, announced the appointment of Vivian Lines as chief executive officer for its newly-created Southern Asia region. In this capacity, he will be responsible for the company’s offices and affiliates in a region stretching from India to Vietnam. The appointment is effective immediately. A 20-year veteran of Hill & Knowlton, Lines will retain his role as chief operating officer of Asia Pacific. Lines is based in Singapore, which will become the company’s regional base for Southern Asia. “The markets of Southern Asia are expanding rapidly and offer tremendous opportunities,” says Lines. “While Hill & Knowlton already has strongly performing offices in a number of those countries including Singapore and Thailand, there are clear opportunities to expand into new markets. India, for example, as one of the world’s fastest growing economies offers untapped potential that we should like to develop further.” Lines joined Hill & Knowlton in 1984, and has worked with the company in the UK, Bahrain, Dubai, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong. He is a corporate and financial communications specialist, and an experienced crisis counselor who has counseled at the highest levels of multinational and local companies.
