Apax partners appoints Michael Ward to Retail and Consumer team Apax Partners, one of the world’s leading private equity groups, today announced the appointment of Michael Ward as a Partner. He will join the international Retail and Consumer team and be based in the London office. Mr Ward was previously the chief executive of retail for Celesio AG and head of the UK operations, Lloyds Chemists Plc. Prior to leading Celesio AG’s retail division Mr Ward was Group Finance Director of HP Bulmer Holdings Plc. Dr Martin Halusa, CEO of Apax Partners Worldwide LLP, said, "We are increasingly active in the retail and consumer sector and Michael's operational and management experience will be a valuable addition to our existing team.
